Jamie Devitt's hamstring injury will again be assessed when Morecambe host Carlisle at the Globe Arena.

The former Hull midfielder spent a lengthy period on the sidelines recently because of the problem and after taking part in the warm-up at Shrewsbury last weekend, boss Jim Bentley elected not to risk him as a precaution.

Alex Kenyon looks set to miss out after coming off against the Shrews with an ankle problem, while Andy Parrish completed 90 minutes despite complaining of cramp.

The Shrimps are down to the bare bones as it is with Andy Fleming (knee), Jack Sampson (ankle), Andrew Wright (groin) and goalkeeper Barry Roche (hip) all still missing.

Carlisle midfielder Gary Dicker will miss the game after scans revealed a hairline fracture below his knee which has ruled him out for the Christmas period.

Dicker had been sidelined since the end of November after a recent knock, while striker Billy Paynter is another who will miss out at Morecambe due to an Achilles injury.

Midfielder Alex Marrow (abductor muscle tear) and striker Steven Rigg (thigh) are still struggling, but manager Keith Curle has no new injury or suspension worries following last week's home win against Northampton.

Teenage midfielder Connor Hammell is hoping to feature again after being handed his debut last week.
