Andy Taylor could return for Walsall against Swindon - despite a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.
The left-back had been expected to play in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday but suffered a problem with his knee in training on Thursday.
Sam Mantom (knee) remains out until next month but boss Dean Smith is confident the midfielder will be able to return in the new year.
Michael Cain is also available after extending his loan from Leicester for another month.
Swindon will be boosted by the availability of Harry Toffolo when they make the trip.
The Norwich loanee has missed their last two games with medial knee ligament damage but has resumed training and is ready to return to action on Boxing Day.
Mark Cooper will also be able to call on Massimo Luongo and Yaser Kasim who will now head on international duty with their countries following the clash with Port Vale on Sunday.
The Robins sit just one point off the top of League One but Cooper could ring the changes after their loss to Doncaster with Michael Smith, Anton Rodgers and Jake Reeves hopeful of being involved.
