Prison for the 3 presumed murderers of 'Jimmy'

The judge has ordered that the three individuals charged with the murder of Deportivo fan Francisco Jose Romero Taboada, 'Jimmy', be held in prison.

The three hooligans presumed to have been guilty of murder have been remanded in prison. The charge may be homicide or murder and will be decided at a later date. All three of the accused deny their part in the Deportivo fan's death. Moreover, a fourth individual has also been detained in Parla, near Madrid.

Meanwhile, the four Ultra Boys fans that were arrested in Gijon have been released, as have the 18 Riazor Blues, after having given their sworn declarations. All have been charged with public disturbance.

Of the 36 people arrested last 16th December, 34 have already been up before the judge so that the correct charges may be decided upon. As the other two are underage, they haven't had to stand in the dock. Two of these 34 adults are the supposed murderers of Francisco Javier Romero Taboada, alias 'Jimmy'.

The 30 ultras that have been released on parole with charges of street fighting and public disturbance are obliged to present themselves before the courts twice a month and are prohibited from going within one kilometre of the Vicente Calderon stadium or attending any Atletico de Madrid football match, be it official or friendly, in Spain or abroad.
