Yaya Sanogo is set to leave Arsenal on loan in January in pursuit of regular first-team football.
LOANER: Sanogo is set to leave Arsenal in January
Reports this afternoon suggest the Frenchman will be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium after falling behind Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck in the pecking order for a spot up front.
The BBC reports that Sanogo will be farmed out to another Premier League club, rather than abroad, in order to gain more experience of the English top flight.
Arsenal snapped up the French youth international from Auxerre in 2013, and he's since gone on to make 19 appearances for the club in all competitions.
He bagged his first goal for Arsene Wenger's side in the 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last month.
Sanogo's chances of earning a regular starting spot in the Arsenal first team have been hit following the return to full fitness of countryman Olivier Giroud.
