Bayer Leverkusen vs Eintracht Frankfurt preview - Schaaf craves quiet life

Eintracht Frankfurt coach Thomas Schaaf is hoping for a little less drama when he leads his side to Bayer Leverkusen for their final game of 2014 on Saturday.

Frankfurt recovered from going three goals down at home to Hertha Berlin to snatch a point, with Alexander Meier netting twice in stoppage time to make it 4-4.

A goalless draw or a narrow 1-0 win would be good enough for Schaaf on Saturday, however, as he admits there is a downside to the entertainment his team is providing.

"It really starts to affect your nerves," he said. "It's always the same here - we're playing some sensational matches and we like putting on a show, but maybe this was a bit too much of a spectacle.

"I still think it's always worthwhile to come and watch us play."

It is no surprise, therefore, that Frankfurt are one of the best followed clubs in the Bundesliga, with the Waldstadion always a sell-out and the ticket allocations for away games always exhausted.

The Eagles can once again count on plenty of support at the BayArena this weekend and with Frankfurt games averaging over four goals a game this season, Schaaf's nerves are set to suffer one last time in 2014.

"Eintracht score a lot of goals so we're going to have to be careful," warned Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak.

"But they also concede a lot and we're keen to win to make it to 30 points for the first half of the season.

Leverkusen are also no lightweights when it comes to scoring goals with 27 so far this season, so goals can certainly be expected at the BayArena on Saturday.
