What a brave young girl Charlotte Jennings is.

Only 12-years-old, Charlotte is suffering from leukaemia and has just lost her hair as a result of the treatment she is undergoing. This would enough to get anyone down but Charlotte embraced her new baldness when Manchester United players came to visit the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, reported the Mirror.

She asked the players to sign her head. So the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Juan Mata scribbled their signatures on Charlotte's scalp.

More than a week has past since they wrote on her skull but she refuses to wash the ink off. Her father Paul said: "The signatures are still on there and I am not sure if they will ever come off.

"She was delighted to meet the players and they were all great."

Charlotte has been in hospital for the last seven months and faces a longer amount of time battling this disease. We hope that she makes a full recovery.
