Barnsley - Chester FC preview - Tykes without Winnall again

Barnsley will be without striker Sam Winnall for their second-round FA Cup tie against Chester.

Winnall missed the midweek draw with Doncaster due to the hamstring injury which forced him out of last week's defeat to former club Scunthorpe and will be sidelined for up to three more weeks.

Defender Joe Dudgeon is doubtful due to the hamstring injury he sustained in the warm-up ahead of the Doncaster game so boss Danny Wilson could keep faith with teenage replacement Mason Holgate.

Veteran Leroy Lita is hoping to retain his place after returning to the starting line-up on Tuesday night but on-loan Fulham winger Ryan Williams (ankle) remains doubtful.

Chester have been dealt a blow ahead of the tie after on-loan striker Matty Hughes was recalled by parent club Fleetwood.

The 22-year-old has hit five goals in nine games for the Conference side but was summoned back to Highbury on Wednesday to cover for injuries.

Boss Steve Burr said: "It is disappointing to lose Matty, especially as he has been a great player for us since arriving at the club. We had hoped to keep him here, but what this will do is give other players the opportunity to make a name for themselves on Sunday."

Tykes loanee Rhys Oates cannot face his parent club while Josh O'Keefe, Ben Heneghan and Peter Winn are carrying injuries.
