Chicharito wants assurances of playing time next season

Javier Hernandez's future at Manchester United looks very uncertain after comments from the Mexican about his future.

Chicharito is currently on loan at Real Madrid and although he has scored a few goals for the current European champions, he has had to settle for sporadic appearances rather than a continued place in Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI.

It is a similar situation to what he had at United and speaking about his future, Chicharito made it clear he wanted assurances about playing time with the club he plays for next year.

"I am fully concentrated on Real Madrid at the moment," Hernandez said.

"We have a big chance to have a really successful season - and when you are fighting for La Liga and The Champions League it is not sensible to concentrate on anybody else.

"I am not sure what will happen in the summer yet - but whatever happens I need guarantees. I am 26 now - in the summer I will be 27 - I must be at a club where I am going to be playing regularly.

"Wherever I am playing next season - I will make sure I have those sort of assurances."

Danny Welbeck would have asked Louis van Gaal for those same assurances before he was sold to Arsenal and Chicharito would follow a similar path if he were to ask for playing time guarantees at United. Players don't get assurances like that at United because a club of that size simply can't guarantee them.

Chicharito was superb for United in his time at the club but with a new look United taking shape under new management, it's the right time for the Mexican to move on and continue his career elsewhere.
