Barnsley vs Doncaster preview - Winnall blow for Reds

Barnsley will be without Sam Winnall for the derby against Doncaster.

The striker limped out of Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Scunthorpe with a hamstring injury which scans have revealed will keep him out for three to four weeks. Leroy Lita could come in to replace him.

Defender Peter Ramage is a doubt with a thigh problem also sustained at the weekend and will be assessed as will winger Ryan Williams who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

Boss Danny Wilson confirmed he will perform a head count on all of his injured players on the morning of the match.

Doncaster make the short trip to Oakwell with no new problems.

Following the 3-1 win at Rochdale, Rovers boss Paul Dickov named an unchanged team for the first time this season against Crewe on Saturday. It remains to be seen if the Scot will do so again following the 1-1 draw at Gresty Road.

South Africa international midfielder Dean Furman could be a strong contender for a recall, while centre-half Jamie McCombe was on the bench at the weekend after recovering from his injury issues.

Captain Rob Jones and fellow defender Cedric Evina (knee) are inching their way back to fitness but this game looks like coming too soon for both players.
