Caen vs Montpellier preview - Sanson calls for consistency

Morgan Sanson hopes Montpellier can finally start to put together a consistent run with a victory at Caen on Saturday.
Rolland Courbis' side have been plagued by up-and-down form all season and sit ninth in the Ligue 1 standings heading into their trip to Normandy.
They have only strung together successive wins once all season - in the second and third rounds of the campaign back in August - and Sanson is hoping to at least equal that by building on last week's home success over Toulouse with a victory at the Stade Michel d'Ornano.
Asked how he viewed the game, 20-year-old midfielder Sanson said: "As the opportunity to move on. Caen are a great team who try to dictate the game and we, therefore, expect a good meeting. We will have to be extremely vigilant."
In quotes carried on Caen's official website, Sanson added: "The priority is to secure survival as soon as possible.
"There is no way we want to relive the anxiety of last year, where we had to wait until the last matches to save ourselves. But I do not think that will happen.
"We occupy ninth place already with 20 points. We have a group to achieve something interesting."
Asked what has been missing up to this point, he added: "Consistency. We have the capacity to settle permanently in the top half of the table. To achieve this goal, we need to record two or three wins in a row."
Caen are 16th, only above Evian in 18th on goal difference, with just three wins in 14 league games so far.
They have won just one and lost five of their six home games, although they had to play the first two of those in Le Mans while their own ground was staging the World Equestrian Games.
