Alloa Athletic vs Falkirk preview - Flannigan out for Alloa

Alloa midfielder Iain Flannigan is the only confirmed absentee against Falkirk due to a back injury but Jonathan Tiffoney and Stephen Simmons will also miss out if they do not fully overcome knocks.

The Wasps are able to call on fit-again pair of Graeme Holmes and Grieg Spence, with manager Barry Smith saying: "The players did really well to earn a point against Rangers last week but they can't sit back and think about that game. All their focus has to be on Falkirk.

"The last time we played Falkirk we competed well but lost to a wonder goal. I would like to get something this time out."

Falkirk are again without Liam Dick who has an ankle injury and Owain Tudur-Jones who had knee surgery recently as they look to get back into the promotion race after losses to Rangers and Hearts.

Bairns boss Peter Houston said: "It was disappointing not to take anything from our last two games, especially as we had beaten Cowdenbeath 6-0 before that.

"Alloa made things difficult for Rangers last week and made things difficult for us in our last meeting, however a repeat of our 2-1 win would be good. We will do that if we play to the same standard that we showed in the second half against Hearts."
