AARON RAMSEY believes Arsenal can transform their stuttering season in the space of five days.
Aaron Ramsey says Arsenal can get their campaign back on track
The pressure is on Arsene Wenger's sixth-placed Gunners after a three-goal collapse in the Champions League to draw with Anderlecht was followed by a Premier League defeat to Swansea last weekend.
But Ramsey claims wins over Manchester United on Saturday and Borussia Dortmund next Wednesday at the Emirates will get their campaign firmly back on track.
"Hopefully we can get two positive results and turn our season around and get a bit of momentum going," said the midfielder.
"We have started slowly. We've had a few draws and it was a disappointing result against Swansea.
"We have a tough week. We have Manchester United which is a big game with the top four in mind and then Dortmund.
"They are both tough games, but they are the ones you want to be involved in as a footballer. We have a lot of catch-up still to do, but hopefully we can come out on top in them."
Ramsey has hit back at the criticism of his recent performances and insists he will be back to his best soon.
After a superb campaign last term, the Welshman has endured a stop-start season with ankle and hamstring injuries.
But that did not stop the likes of ex-Gunners striker Charlie Nicholas or Germany midfield ace Dietmar Hamann slamming his displays.
Ramsey, speaking for the first time about the criticism, said: "I've had a few injuries this season and I'm just getting back. I'm still not 100 per cent physically there.
"The injuries do take a bit out of me. It will take me a few more games to be back to my best.
"But I'm not worried. I know my qualities. Certain criticism from people is unfair."
His Arsenal teammate Mikel Arteta has insisted the players need to be reminded how good they actually are, as they prepare to face United.
Arteta said: "If we get the crowd with us in these next two games it will be a very different story.
"It is a rollercoaster at the moment but we need to manage the emotion. This is a long-term situation. We need to be where we want to be in April and May, so let's be patient.
"The most important thing is to lead with confidence and remind the players how good they are.
"When you see faces with disappointment and doubt, it is not good. We cannot allow that to happen.
"Bad periods are going to affect the team. So you need everyone on their toes and ready to fight."
Ramsey was part of an impressive 0-0 draw with Wales in Belgium on Sunday as Chris Coleman's side edged one step closer to Euro 2016 qualification.
