Sevilla vs Levante preview - Injury worries for Sevilla

Sevilla coach Unai Emery has injury concerns as his side bid to rediscover their early La Liga form against struggling Levante on Sunday.

Thursday's 3-1 UEFA Europa League win over Standard Liege came at a price with both striker Juan Antonio Reyes and goalkeeper Beto battling to be fit for the game at Estadio Ramon.

Beto departed at half-time with a groin strain while Reyes was substituted after scoring his side's second goal with a groin problem, and both are rated doubtful for Sunday.

Emery was pleased with the way his side bounced back against the Belgians after suffering a surprise league defeat at Athletic Bilbao last weekend.

Emery said: "We need to reaffirm the good performances of the team in the league and continue with it.

"But it will be very difficult because Levante is a team that has the makings of being defensively strong."

Levante ended a run of one point from four games with a 2-1 win over Almeria last Sunday which moved them up to 18th place in the table.

Coach Lucas Alcaraz said the win had taken some of the pressure off his struggling side but is in no doubt about the size of the task facing his team on Sunday.

Alcaraz said: "Logically the week after a win people are more comfortable, and we have to get used to staying just as rigorous and mentally tough.

"Sevilla are tough opponents and they will force us to do a lot of things well.

"We have to get in there first and dispute the game, and raise our efforts to the maximum to get a result."
