WHEN we imagine the Beckhams enjoying Christmas, we think of a lavish spread laid out in the dining room and ludicrously expensive presents littering the floor.

CHANGE OF SETTING: David and Victoria could eat Christmas dinner at an East London pub

But it turns out Posh and Becks might be celebrating with a £7.99 lunch and gifts from the bargain bucket.

The couple have been invited to enjoy a Wetherspoon Christmas lunch by David's older sister Lynne and her partner Kevin Briggs.

According to The Sun, Kevin texted the couple: "Spoons xmas meal in few weeks. Let us know if you’re in. We’ll do a fiver max secret santa."

He then added: "Sorry, with inflation we’re making it £6."

DOWN TO EARTH: Lynne and Kevin have organised a dinner at this East London boozer

The family are organising a festive get-together at The Half Moon pub in Stepney, East London.

Lynne and David are thought to have grown closer this year after her baby son Jenson James spent time in hospital for severe respiratory problems.

David and Victoria currently live in West London with children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, but spend a lot of time Stateside, so it is unclear whether they will be in Blighty to make an appearance at the Wetherspoon dinner.

However, we all know David is a fan of down to earth food thanks to his love of a local Essex pie and mash shop – so we wouldn't be surprised if the Beckhams were snapped tucking into a dinner-and-drink special.
