The only way is WAG! Billi Mucklow engaged to footballer Andy Carroll

BILLI Mucklow is set to become an official WAG after her football beau proposed to her on her birthday.

The ex-TOWIE star has revealed that she is engaged to West Ham star Andy Carroll following the most romantic, over-the-top proposal this side of your local cinema listings.

Andy whisked his girlfriend off to Rome to celebrate her 27th birthday, and popped the question in front of the Colosseum.

And it looks like he didn't scrimp on the sparkler, with Billi showing off a blingtastic square-cut diamond on her ring finger.

The happy couple posed for a picture in front of the ancient landmark holding up a caricature reading "Will You Marry Me?"

Miss Mucklow, who made her relationship with Andy public in February, tweeted: "Last Night The Love Of My Life Asked Me To Marry Him- I'm So Happy! @andytcarroll You Are My Everything And I Can't Wait To Be Your Wife! #MrsCarroll."

The reality star added: "Last night was the best night of my life."

Andy, 25, also spread the newson Twitter, writing: "It was a standard YES!!!"

Making the night even more special for his bride-to-be, Andy prepared Billi for the engagement by laying out a Net-A-Porter frock, Givenchy accessories and Jimmy Choo heels for her to wear for her birthday dinner.

Later, the England player presented Billi with a birthday cake featuring a diamond ring made from icing.

Billi's ex-TOWIE castmate Lauren Goodger congratulated the couple, tweeting: "Congratulations @BilliMucklow and @AndyTCarroll just seen the ring on @giorgiemucklow FaceTime wow!! So happy for you both."

A WAG/TOWIE wedding – we don't know if we'll ever be able to prepare ourselves for that level of extravagance.
