There seems to be no end to Barcelona's woes injury-wise. Jeremy Mathieu has already been ruled out following the match against Celta and Jordi Alba may now join him in the treatment room. According to two Catalan dailies, the Barca defender was given an MRI scan on Sunday to ascertain the gravity of his injury problems.
Club doctor Dr Ricard Pruna accompanied Alba to the place where the test was conducted, with the aim of establishing the extent of his issues ahead of the all-important Champions League match against Ajax on Wednesday, as well as Saturday's league game against Almeria.
For the time being, no official statement has been made by the club and there is speculation as to whether the defender will make the starting line-up for the forthcoming Champions League tie.
