Shrewsbury vs Bury preview - Shrews hope for Mangan boost

Shrewsbury are hopeful Andy Mangan could feature against Bury after he suffered a knee injury at York.

The striker limped off after taking a blow to the kneecap and underwent a scan on Monday to check the severity of the issue.

"Andy's knee problem is hopefully not as serious as we thought," boss Micky Mellon told the official site.

Fulham loanee Jack Grimmer is also primed for a home debut after signing in time to play in Saturday's 1-0 win at York.

Bury boss David Flitcroft has no new injury or suspension concerns for his high-flying outfit.

Defender Keil O'Brien (knee) remains the second-placed Shakers' only injury absentee, yet Flitcroft has plenty of selection headaches to consider.

Goalkeeper Rob Lainton kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over Portsmouth after being selected ahead of Shwan Jalal, who had started the previous three fixtures.

Flitcroft also dropped Daniel Nardiello to the bench, even though he had scored five goals in as many games prior to last Saturday, and the chosen strike pairing of Danny Rose and Ryan Lowe both found the target to further their claims.
