According to 'La Vanguardia' newspaper, Gerard Pique was involved in an altercation with some police officers in Barcelona.
The incident took place on a Sunday at around 2.30 in the morning, when several officers fined the defender's brother for parking in a bus lane for 15 minutes in front of the nightclub Catwalk.
Pique was fined for a lack of respect and disobeying a police officer, which will land him in court. The police report explained that once the player's brother had been handed his fine, Gerard Pique took it and threw it at the officers' feet.
'La Vanguardia' also reported that when the Barca player spoke to the officers he hurled insults like: "You're jealous of me because I'm famous", "You're fining me because you're on commission and are broke", "This fine won't ever get paid because I'll call your boss and get it dealt with", "I'm going to call your bosses and then you'll be in serious trouble", "You're so full of yourselves, going around in your uniform and fining people like you're God's gift to the world", and "You're a disgrace, your profession and the entire police force are a f****** disgrace".
