Ibrahimovic: Someone stopped me winning the Champions League in 2010

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted that he feels Pep Guardiola's tactical approach kept Barcelona from winning the Champions League in 2009-10.

The Catalans were the holders of the world's top club competition and had added the Swedish striker to their ranks in a big-money move from Inter, which saw Samuel Eto'o move to San Siro.

Though they retained their Liga crown, they fell at the semi-final stage in Europe - to the San Siro club - and Ibrahimovic, now at Paris Saint-Germain, believes his old side failed to reach their potential.

"We had the best team in the world, for sure. But we failed to win the Champions League because of bad decisions from someone," he told Canal +, heavily hinting that Guardiola was to blame.

"But it's like that. It's nothing to complain about today. You have to forget it because I had great moments at Barcelona."

Ibrahimovic has also represented the likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Ajax during his career but is yet to lift the trophy himself. However, he feels that it would not be a failure should be fail to win it.

"I'd be very happy if I could win it, of course. After your career, you look at how many trophies you have. If I win, it'd be great, if not, it wouldn't be a failure."

Now at Paris Saint-Germain, the 32-year-old believes that the Ligue 1 champions have been building a team capable of performing well on the European stage.

"We're still learning. The club are new in the Champions League and we gain experience. This team has been constructed in the last two years and we've been in the Champions League quarter-finals twice. We want to go further this year.

"But it's the little details which make the difference. We hope that these details will be in our favour this time."

Ibrahimovic will face Barcelona on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes at Laurent Blanc's side look to put their 1-1 draw with Ajax behind them.
