Charlton Athletic vs Middlesbrough preview - Addicks pair shake off injury

Charlton strikers Igor Vetokele and Frederic Bulot will be fit to face Middlesbrough at The Valley.

Vetokele, who has scored five goals this season, was struggling with an Achilles problem after last Saturday's draw at Rotherham but is now back in training.

Bulot also sat out training earlier in the week with a knock but boss Bob Peeters expects both to be available.

Full-back Chris Solly has had a full week to rest his troublesome knee, therefore the Addicks have a full-strength squad as they attempt to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is expected to make changes following his side's marathon midweek penalty shootout defeat at Liverpool in the Capital One Cup.

Karanka made six changes at Anfield - Boro lost 14-13 on penalties - and will have plenty to think about as his side turned in an impressive performance, twice pegging Liverpool back as the scores ended 2-2 after extra time.

On-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman made his debut on Tuesday night and Karanka must decide whether to recall Dimi Konstantopoulos.

Midfielder Adam Clayton, winger Adam Reach, defender Daniel Ayala and strikers Lee Tomlin and Kike will all be hoping to keep their places in the starting line-up as Boro chase a fourth straight league win.
