Stevenage Borough vs Mansfield Town preveiw - Marriott doubt for Westley's men

Adam Marriott is a fresh injury concern for Stevenage as Boro prepare to host Mansfield.

Marriott had to be withdrawn just before half-time against Oxford last Saturday with a hamstring problem and the forward is a doubt. Midfielder Simon Walton will also have his hamstring injury assessed ahead of the weekend.

However, some good news for Boro boss Graham Westley sees teenage defender Ryan Johnson and midfielder Andy Bond come back into the reckoning after suspension.

Calvin Zola has impressed in training this week and could be included on the bench. The striker has been hampered by hamstring injuries since his summer move to Stevenage from Aberdeen and has only made two appearances so far.

Mansfield manager Paul Cox will check on his walking wounded.

Several Stags players have been soldiering on despite knocks in recent weeks - among others, Ritchie Sutton (hamstring), Jamie McGuire and Simon Heslop (both foot).

Midfielder Fergus Bell is a major doubt after needing a pain-killing injection in a shoulder problem to play against Carlisle last weekend.

John Dempster made his return from a groin injury with a run-out for the reserves this week but the trip to Hertfordshire looks like it could come too soon, while fellow defender Luke Jones is still on his way back from an ankle issue.
