Huddersfield Town vs Millwall preview - No new worries for Terriers

Huddersfield boss Chris Powell has no major new injury worries as he chases his first win in charge of the club against Millwall.

Striker Martin Paterson (knee) and defender Anthony Gerrard (calf) are closing in on their respective returns to first-team action, but are not quite ready for their first appearances of the season.

Midfielder Jonathan Hogg (calf) returned from a five-game lay-off in last week's defeat at Leeds and is hoping to resume, but striker James Vaughan remains sidelined with a similar problem.

Winger Danny Ward, striker Jon Stead and midfielder Radoslaw Majewski are pushing for recalls to the starting line-up.

Carlos Edwards will be missing for Millwall after suffering a serious knee injury.

The veteran defender faces up to a year on the sidelines after damaging cruciate ligaments against Nottingham Forest last weekend, so Justin Hoyte or Jimmy Abdou could be asked to step in at right-back.

Edwards' absence could also free up a space in the squad for winger Angel Martinez, who is still awaiting his Lions debut having joined on a free transfer at the start of the month.

Striker Lee Gregory is fit following a hip problem and midfielder Nicky Bailey is close to returning after a calf injury but winger Lee Martin remains sidelined with knee ligament damage.
