Plymouth vs Wycombe preview - Sheridan to ring changes

Plymouth boss John Sheridan looks set to make changes for the visit of Wycombe.

The Pilgrims suffered from a lack of creativity as they went down to Morecambe on Saturday and Sheridan could recall the likes of winger Jason Banton or Nathan Thomas as he looks to provide a spark in the final third against the Chairboys.

But Sheridan, who watched winger Alex Bray return to Swansea for an operation on his knee last week, has just 18 players available so none of Saturday's squad are likely to drop out as they look to get back to winning ways.

Kelvin Mellor and Anthony O'Connor look set to keep their places having put in eye-catching displays against the Shrimps.

Wycombe will check on Peter Murphy before they make the trip.

The in-form utility-man injured his face while scoring the winner in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Mansfield but he is expected to be given the green light to feature against the Pilgrims as Gareth Ainsworth's men put their unbeaten away record on the line.

The Chairboys' medical team will also assess Paris Cowan-Hall and Steven Craig who picked up knocks against the Stags at the weekend.

Wycombe, who sit in fourth place ahead of the trip, ran out 3-0 winners when they visited Home Park last season.
