Dagenham and Redbridge vs Northampton Town preview - Murphy still missing for Daggers

Striker Rhys Murphy will miss out once more when Dagenham welcome Northampton.

The 23-year-old, who scored 13 times last season, has been missing since March with a hip injury and although he has returned to training he is not yet closing in on a return.

The clash with the Cobblers also comes too soon for midfielder Billy Bingham (shins) while Zavon Hines (knee) remains sidelined.

The Daggers could be unchanged as they look to extend their unbeaten run to four games with the in-form Jamie Cureton set to lead the line once more.

Ryan Cresswell could make his debut for Northampton following his deadline-day move from Fleetwood.

The defender signed a three-year contract just 90 minutes before the window closed on Monday and goes straight into the squad.

Leicester loanee Ryan Watson is also primed for his Cobblers bow after the midfielder joined until January from the Premier League Foxes.

Ian Morris is a long-term absentee with a dislocated knee, but boss Chris Wilder could start Ivan Toney after his cameo off the bench in the 1-0 win over Exeter last week.
