York City 0 : 0 Wycombe Wanderers - York still hunting their first win

York are still searching for their first win of the season after playing out a 0-0 draw with high-flying Wycombe.
The Chairboys almost opened the scoring with three minutes on the clock with Paul Hayes' audacious volley from 30 yards almost catching Michael Ingham off his line.
York then replied with chances of their own as John McCombe turned the ball wide at the near post, before Luke Summerfield's 20-yard effort stung the palms of Matt Ingram.
The Minstermen were turning up the pressure on the visitors but they couldn't capitalise on their advantage with Anthony Straker turning the ball narrowly over the bar with their best attempt.
Wycombe had been kept quiet in the first half but it took a fantastic save from York's Ingham to keep the score level as he denied Steven Craig from close range.
Both sides pushed on for a winner but the closest either of them would come was when Wycombe striker Hayes saw his low effort blocked by Ingham's trailing leg.
