Manchester United transfer gossip: Exits close for Cleverley, Kagawa and Hernandez

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip around the web including reports linking Tom Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa with moves away from the club as well as an update on moves for Arturo Vidal and William Carvalho.

Streamlining the squad and selling the deadwood was just as important for Louis van Gaal this summer as it was for him to bring in new players. The Dutchman has already sold Bebe, Alexander Buttner and Patrice Evra but they're unlikely to be the only departures. Reports suggest United have accepted an £8m bid for Tom Cleverley while others say Shinji Kagawa is on his way back to Borussia Dortmund.

United have also received two bids from Juventus and Valencia for Javier Hernandez in the region of £12-15m. The Mexican striker is unlikely to get much game time at United this season so it is in his best interests to seek a move away.

With only three days left in the transfer window, more arrivals are needed at United if the squad is going to compete for the Premier League title. United have been linked to both Arturo Vidal and William Carvalho all summer but a United spokesperson has told the press 'nothing is happening' with moves for either.
