Dumbarton vs Livingston preview - McLaughlin out for Sons

Posted Friday, August 29, 2014 by PA

Dumbarton defender Mark McLaughlin will miss out against Livingston through a calf problem.

Kieran MacDonald has been added on loan from Hamilton and he looks set for his debut, with Lee Mair also included after being passed fit.

The Sons lost three late goals to go down 3-2 to Hibs in midweek, however, manager Ian Murray is being positive.

He said: "We were terrific for almost 80 minutes and then the difference between full-time and part-time on a working day kicked in.

"If we play like that again then I am sure we will get off the mark."

Livingston striker Rob Ogleby has recovered from a hamstring injury and looks set for a place on the bench.

However, Kevin Walker (knee), Simon Mensing (knee) and Nejc Prepatonik (hamstring) all miss out.

The Lions are enjoying a good run at the moment and have every intention of keeping it going, with manager John McGlynn saying: "We have beaten Cowdenbeath, Hearts and Queen of the South as well as coming back to get a draw with Queen's as well so we are in form and feeling confident.

"We will need to play well to keep that going as Dumbarton will be after the result to kick-start their season."
