Fleetwood Town vs Leyton Orient preview - Fleetwood outlook brighter
Posted Friday, August 29, 2014 by PA
Unbeaten Fleetwood's injury woes are easing in time for the visit of Leyton Orient.
Striker Stephen Dobbie is edging nearer to a return from his ankle problem while the week off will have worked in defender Stephen Jordan's favour after he missed the 0-0 draw with Chesterfield.
Midfielder Keith Southern is back training on grass after picking up a hernia problem and both Jeff Hughes (broken leg) and Mark Roberts have played for the club's under-21s recently.
Jamille Matt (leg) is out for the season and with the Cod Army having kept three clean sheets in a row, Graham Alexander is unlikely to change things too much.
Capital One Cup heroes Orient will be without Kevin Lisbie but Shaun Batt could return to the squad.
Lisbie remains sidelined by a shoulder injury but fellow striker Batt is close to fitness following three weeks out with a calf problem.
Boss Russell Slade has plenty of selection dilemmas after a much-changed side dumped out Aston Villa in one of the shocks of round two on Wednesday night.
Goalkeeper Adam Legzdins, captain Nathan Clarke, fellow defender Scott Cuthbert and midfielder Romain Vincelot, who climbed off the bench to head the late winner at Villa Park, could all return to the starting line-up.
