Jordan Wynter completed a remarkable comeback for Cheltenham as the debutant netted the winner in a 3-2 victory over Tranmere.

Eliot Richards and Marc Laird both scored their first goals for Tranmere as the hosts were 2-0 up at half-time.

But Matt Richards pulled one back for the Robins on 67 minutes and moments later Koby Arthur levelled the scores before on-loan Bristol City midfielder Wynter grabbed the winner on 73 minutes.

Eliot Richards opened the scoring after latching onto Max Power's pass and finishing with his left foot.

Laird then charged down Troy Brown's shot on the edge of his own area and Tranmere broke.

Cole Stockton played a return ball to Laird, who had covered 60 yards to fire in the second a minute before the break.

Cheltenham reduced the arrears midway through the second half when Omari Sterling-James' shot was parried and Richards followed up.

Two minutes later substitute Arthur made it 2-2 with a superb finish from the edge of the box before Wynter volleyed home to complete the turnaround.
