Dagenham and Redbridge vs Mansfield Town preview - Wait goes on for Doidge

Christian Doidge could have to wait for his Dagenham debut after signing from Carmarthen Town last Friday.

The striker was an unused substitute in the Daggers' 2-0 win Hartlepool after hurting his ankle in the pre-match warm-up and he will be assessed before the tie at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium.

Damian Batt has returned to training this week after an adductor problem and manager Wayne Burnett must decide whether to include him in his squad.

Last year's top goalscorer and long-term injury absentee Rhys Murphy is not expected to be involved for another couple of weeks, although he has started training.

Mansfield should have an unchanged squad.

Stags boss Paul Cox reported no fresh injury problems following the 1-0 home win over Newport in midweek, so striker Liam Hearn (knee) and defender Martin Riley (groin) remain the only absentees.

The likes of Luke Jones, Fergus Bell, Sam Clucas, Ollie Palmer and Adam Murray are available should Cox wish to make any changes to his starting line-up.

Cox made just one change on Tuesday night as Matt Rhead replaced Clucas on his return from suspension.
