Yeovil Town vs Scunthorpe United preview - Triple blow for Glovers

Yeovil will be without three key players once more when they host Scunthorpe.

Winger Joel Grant remains sidelined with a foot injury he sustained during the summer, Liam Davis' broken wrist continues to keep him out while midfielder James Berrett will not feature once more after sustaining a thigh injury.

And in addition to suspended left-back Seth Nana Twumasi boss Gary Johnson also confirmed that defender Matteo Lanzoni's lack of match fitness means the former Oldham man is not ready for a first-team appearance for the Glovers.

Yeovil's 2-1 win over Walsall on Tuesday was their first victory of the new campaign.

Scunthorpe will stick with on-loan Peterborough goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik between the posts after he was drafted in at short notice following injuries to James Severn and Sam Slocombe.

Olejnik made his debut in Tuesday's home loss to Fleetwood, with Slocombe out due to a shoulder problem picked up in the Capital One Cup win at Blackburn and Severn then suffering a thigh injury.

"James Severn's going to be out for six to eight weeks with a thigh strain," manager Russ Wilcox told The Iron Player. "Sam Slocombe is going to see a specialist with his shoulder problem and it's not looking too good - I don't think it'll be short-term."

Stand-in skipper Neal Bishop is rated 'touch-and-go' for the weekend after receiving a nasty gash on his knee, but new boy Nicky Featherstone is available after successfully coming through a trial with the club.
