ATTACK: Danny Wilson with Dawn and son Beau, left, and a screaming blood-thirsty baboon, right

Danny Wilson, 58, was on holiday with his girlfriend and child when they were set upon by a gang of aggressive monkeys.

Danny had to fight the apes as they tried to snatch his son Beau, two, at a safari park on the Spanish island of Majorca.

He says Ryan’s little stepbrother Beau has been left with a phobia of monkeys – and runs out of the room every time he sees one on TV.

Danny said: “It was properly terrifying – I’ve never been so frightened.Ryan Giggs’ dad ATTACKED by baboons in safari scare

"I’ve had some fights in my life and I’m not scared of nothing or no man. But baboons are something else.

"Being attacked by baboons is no laughing matter, I can tell you that. They’re so powerful, I thought they were just going to rip us apart.

"The worst part was the screaming – that sound will stay with me for the rest of my life.”

Danny and fiancé Dawn Pritchard, 43, were attacked at a zoo near the seaside town of Sa Coma while enjoying a family holiday.

He hasn’t spoken to estranged son Ryan, 40, since it was revealed he’d had an eight-year affair with brother Rhodri’s wife Natasha, 31.

The Manchester United player, who also bedded model Imogen Thomas, 31, hasn’t apologised to his sibling since the betrayal came to light.

His dad has refused to contact his famous son and he hasn’t been invited to his upcoming wedding to Dawn, whilst Rhodri, 37, will be best man.

The couple were using their family video camera to film the pack of 15 monkeys when another visitor threw them a banana.

Suddenly, two of them jumped into the carriage and one tried to grab Beau as Danny smashed the camera over its head.

He tried to beat off the 5ft apes with his rucksack but they grabbed the bag, tearing it to shreds.

Danny said: “They were snarling and howling and then one of them grabbed Beau.

"I hit him with the camera, I bust it flush in the mouth but he didn’t flinch, it just made him go wilder.

"I started hitting them with my rucksack, but one just grabbed it and pulled it to pieces.”

The ranger eventually manage to chase the baboons off after threatening them with a gun.

Frightened Danny demanded to sit up with the driver – and was shocked to find his carriage had metal railings while the other passengers were exposed to the apes.

He tried to complain to the organisers of the trip but said they had “suddenly forgotten” how to speak English.

He contacted Thomson, who he booked his two-week holiday with, and they said they recommend tourists avoid the privately booked safari trip.

The family were seen by doctors after returning to their home in Cardiff and Beau was found to have some bruising on his ribs.

Danny added: “I want to warn people about the dangers of going on safari.

"My son was beside himself for two days and my missus couldn’t stop shaking.

"It nearly ruined our holiday and it could have
