Javier Mascherano is all set to commit his future to Barcelona until 30th June 2018. The Argentinian midfield general will put pen to paper on his new contract this coming 26th August.
Barça previously announced that the 30-year-old had agreed a new deal just before the World Cup in Brazil, where Mascherano starred in Argentina's run to the final, and now a date has been set to make it official.
The contract will keep the former River Plate, Corinthians, West Ham and Liverpool man at the Camp Nou for a further two seasons - his current terms expire in 2016 - and includes an option for an additional year and a €100m release clause.
