Wycombe Wanderers vs Carlisle preview - Double boost for Chairboys

Wycombe look set to have Stuart Lewis and Josh Scowen available when they welcome Carlisle to Adams Park.

The midfielders missed their first two matches of the season through injury and their returns to training have given Gareth Ainsworth a real boost ahead of the clash.

But they will be hard pushed to find a way back into a Chairboys side that cruised past Newport and gave Championship Millwall a real run for their money.

Gary Doherty is set to be out for another seven weeks but the Blues have no fresh injury worries and could give more game time to Aaron Holloway after an impressive substitute appearance on Tuesday evening.

Carlisle winger David Amoo remains doubtful due to the ankle injury that kept him out of the midweek Capital One Cup defeat to Derby.

Central defender Sean O'Hanlon will be in contention despite having four stitches in a head wound sustained following an off-the-ball clash with Derby's Chris Martin.

Manager Graham Kavanagh, who has no other new major injury or suspension concerns, could be tempted to hand striker Stephen Elliott his first start for the club.

Midfielders Alex Marrow and Gary Dicker, plus defender Danny Grainger are all hoping to return to the starting line-up.
