Coventry vs Sheffield United preview - Reda could return

Reda Johnson could return for Coventry when they host Sheffield United, with the defender having been rested for Wednesday's 2-1 Capital One Cup loss to Cardiff after suffering a slight strain when bagging a brace at Bradford last weekend.

Teenage full-back Ryan Haynes could be pushing for first-team duty on a regular basis after being one of several youngsters to impress in midweek, putting in a superb cross for Shaun Miller to score a consolation goal late on.

"Ryan is a player we have real high hopes for," said Steven Pressley on the club website. "He's a great athlete and a terrific prospect and he showed a great mentality. I could talk about a lot of the players though; I thought the midfield of Danny Swanson, John Fleck and Jim O'Brien were terrific."

Striker Miller also hopes to get the chance to feature against his former side after netting against the Bluebirds, adding: "I had a lot of good times at the club so it will be nice to see some old faces."

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough is expected to make wholesale changes again following the midweek Capital One Cup win against Mansfield.

Striker Michael Higdon, defenders Craig Alcock and Chris Basham, midfielders Stefan Scougall and Jamie Murphy, winger Ryan Flynn plus teenage pair Harrison McGahey and Louis Reed will all return to contention after being rested.

Senior players Michael Doyle and Neill Collins hope to feature again, but summer signing James Wallace remains sidelined with the groin injury that has delayed his start to the season.

Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce sustained an ankle knock against Mansfield on Wednesday night but is expected to be in contention.
