FIFA uphold Luis Suarez's ban

The FIFA disciplinary committee has upheld the ban for a further eight matches that Uruguay's Luis Suarez still has to serve of the nine-match ban he was handed for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.
In other cases relating to the World Cup, it suspended Greece boss, Fernando Manuel Fernandes for eight matches and Italian official, Aldo Espósito for six.
The first game of Barça's newest recruit, Luis Suarez's suspension was the World Cup game between Uruguay and Colombia and he is still banned from "all football-related activities" for four months.
In addition to Suarez, FIFA also revealed the list of players who will have to serve bans relating to incidents at the 2014 World Cup:
- Alex Song (Cameroon): two games left to serve in his three-match ban
- Ante Rebi (Croatia): one-match ban
- Claudio Marchisio (Italy): one-match ban
- Antonio Valencia (Ecuador): one-match ban
FIFA stated that "In accordance with article 38, paragraph 2a) of the FIFA disciplinary Code, these bans will be served during the players' next competitive games with their respective national teams".
