Ancelotti: 20 years on the bench

Carlo Ancelotti is celebrating a career milestone, having spent 20 years on the bench as a manager. He has won three Champions Leagues, domestic leagues in three countries, domestic Cups in another three, UEFA Super Cups, and even a FIFA Club World Cup. Next season is also lining up to be the biggest challenge of his coaching career to date, with a bid to lead Real Madrid to victory in six competitions, an unprecedented achievement, both for the Italian and for the club.
Since making his dugout debut in August 1995 with Reggiana, Carletto's career has gone from strength to strength. Juve provided him with the chance to train Zidane and gain the necessary experience to make the leap to Milan.
After a stint in England and France, where he also left his mark of success, the Italian last summer finally fulfilled his dream in taking charge of the Real Madrid dressing room. In his nineteenth season as a football coach, he proved there is still plenty of fuel left in the tank, with the 'Decima' ample proof of that.
The season that has just started, the 20th of his career, could also turn out to be the most special. He has become the hero of the Real Madrid faithful, having returned the European crown to the club. And he now has the task of guiding Real in the most difficult and exciting challenge of its 112 year history: winning six titles in a single season.
The Italian has smashed all the records set by any of the 'Los Blancos' managers who have gone before him in their first year on the bench.
