DAVID Beckham dressed his sons in Argentina kits during the World Cup final to plug Adidas, fans have claimed.

LEGEND: Becks caused a stir by letting his three sons sport the Argentina strip

The England legend caused a stir by letting Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, and Cruz, nine, wear the famous blue and white strip.

But supporters said he had his boys don the Adidas-sponsored tops because he has a £90million lifetime deal with the brand.

Becks was sent off in England’s loss to Argentina in the 1998 World Cup and briefly became a hate figure on his UK return.

One user on Twitter wrote: “This Beckham family Argentina support surely has something to do with his Adidas sponsorship.”

But a spokesman for Becks said last night the boys were supporting Argentina but not because of the kit sponsor.

He said that they could also have chosen Germany because their kit was also sponsored by Adidas.

Meanwhile, Becks, 39, has put his name to his own brand of whisky.

Haig Club went on sale at Selfridges in London yesterday at £45 a pop.

It comes in a distinctive square blue bottle. Becks teamed up with music manager Simon Fuller, 54, and drinks firm Diageo to launch it.
