Radamel Falcao prays to Real Madrid

The rumours keep coming here on Transfer Talk, and first we kick off with a player who is looking for divine intervention ...

"My future depends on God ... and in this case, God is Florentino Perez."

Hankering for a move to the Bernabeu? You could do a lot worse than likening the current club president of Real Madrid to God.

According to AS, that's exactly what injured superstar Radamel Falcao has been saying to his teammates while in camp at the World Cup in Brazil.

Now, talk of the striker heading to Atletico's archrivals is nothing new -- we've covered it here before on TT -- but whispers of the move have been coming in thick and fast over the past couple of days, and everything seems to be coming from Falcao himself.

AS quoted one of the striker's Colombian teammates saying, "Falcao thinks he's going to join Real Madrid this summer. He dreams of playing there and is only prepared to listen to offers from Los Blancos." A while back, Falcao's very own father said that all the 28-year-old ever wanted to do was pull on the more famous Madrid shirt.

Now for something a little less certain ...

So while the Falcao-to-Real story sounds like it might have some credence, The Mirror is reporting on something that seems a little further from reality.

Apparently, the sight of Raheem Sterling wearing the all-white of England at the World Cup has prompted some Madridistas to see the young Liverpool charge as the perfect injury replacement for one Cristiano Ronaldo.

Concerned about the knee issues that caused the Portugese superstar to have a less-than-stellar tournament, The Mirror says Real are already preparing for a future without CR7 -- and that future is the 19-year-old Sterling.

Hands up for Khedira

To fund these big moves for Falcao and Sterling, Carlo Ancelotti will surely need to trim down his squad first.

Luckily, The Daily Star is one step ahead of everyone and has already identified German international Sami Khedira as one of the first names who will be out the Bernabeu door.

Not content with simply linking the 27-year-old to one Premier League club, the Star have gone all out and said there will be a four-way tussle for the his signature.

So -- fans of Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea -- prepare yourselves. This bidding war could get nasty.

Bits and bobs

- The Mirror are reporting that Gareth Barry will seal a permanent move to Everton within days.

- Swansea star Michu is reportedly in Napoli undergoing a medical, with the two clubs discussing the final details of a move, according to Football Italia.

- Also out of Italy, Corriere dello Sport have all but confirmed that Feyenoord's Stefan de Vrij will sign for Manchester United in a deal worth 7 to 10 million euros.
