Barcelona will offer Liverpool a £71m deal, including Alexis Sanchez, for Luis Suarez

The Daily Star are notorious for flapping their backpages at eye-catching, big name-dropping transfer stories which rarely ever seem to come off.
With that in mind, this weekend see the Star add very little to the belief that Barcelona are gearing up for a mega-money assault to sign Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
The headline in the red-top reads “The Lu Camp”, while the details of the article are as follows:
Barcelona will offer £66 million PLUS £25m-rated Alexis Sanchez – a massive £71m in total – to lure Liverpool and Uruguay hitman Luis Suarez away from Anfield to the Nou Camp.
(Why the total deal isn’t priced at £81m remains a mystery!)
Now, without the benefit of knowing what scoops the Star may have inside their paper, on the face of it the tabloid’s story simply vomits up stories which have been swirling around in the press for some time.
By contrast, Uruguayan paper Ovacion on Saturday reported that the rumours of Suarez to Barcelona have been overplayed, and the South American media agency voiced their belief that the attacker will be a Red come the start of next season.
