Prosecutor calls for Neymar's father to testify

The public prosecutor's office of the Spanish Supreme Court has asked Judge Pablo Ruz to summon Neymar's father to testify as a witness and postponed the decision on whether to summon the current FC Barcelona president, Josep María Bartomeu, to declare as the accused in place of his predecessor in the post, Sandro Rosell, until 22 July.
In the single-page document, in addition to asking the judge to summon the Brazilian's father, Neymar Da Silva Santos, the prosecutor in charge of the case, José Perals, requested invoices from 2013 corresponding to the payment of a 5% commission on the fixed and variable income of Neymar Jr. and of the their jointly-owned company, N&N.
He also asked the court to appoint an expert to put together a report on the FC Barcelona accounts for the years in which the remuneration and contracts for the signing of Neymar were paid. The deal is being investigated for misappropriation of funds - which Rosell has been accused of, costing him his job at the helm of the Catalan club - and for tax fraud committed by the club.
