Morientes wants Chicharito at Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes would like to see Mexican Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez at his former club.
“I’ve always liked him since he arrived at Manchester (United),” said Morientes in an interview with ESPN Deportes. “I would love to see him at Spanish team and if it was Real Madrid it would be even better.”
Morientes played a similar role to Hernandez with Real, and had a stint in England with Liverpool. He believes the Mexico international would net plenty of goals for the reigning Spanish champion.
“I think he is an exceptional forward, under-used at the moment,” said 38-year-old. “I know he’d bring a lot of goals.”
But the door to La Liga could be more accessible for Chicharito across town at Atletico Madrid, where rumors are linking striker Diego Costa to Chelsea.
Regardless, Hernandez faces a summer of turmoil regarding his club future, with Manchester United currently without a permanent manager and playing time this past Premier League season less half that of his debut season, although the club still has three matches left.
