Daniel Sturridge: Hoping to be fit to face Norwich
Liverpool are optimistic striker Daniel Sturridge will be fit for this weekend's game against Norwich.
The 24-year-old was taken off after 66 minutes of the Reds' 3-2 win over Manchester City on Sunday with a suspected hamstring injury.
A scan has shown that the injury is not too serious and there is a chance Sturridge will be available for the trip to Carrow Road.
A report on the club's official website read: "A small strain was detected following a scan.
"The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road."
Sturridge has scored 23 goals this season, including 20 in the league, to help Liverpool to the top of the table with four games left to play.
The Reds are two points clear of Chelsea and know that victories in their remaining games will secure a first title since 1990.
