Harry Redknapp: Champions League teams want to sign Remy

Loic Remy is attracting the attention of Champions League clubs, according to QPR manager Harry Redknapp.
The striker, who is on loan at Newcastle, is expected to leave the west London outfit in the summer, with no guarantee of Premier League football at Loftus Road next season.
Remy has scored 13 goals for the Magpies this season and has a 10 million pound release clause in his QPR contract, and Redknapp believes many of Europe’s elite are waiting to activate it.
“Remy wants to play Champions League football next season, so they tell me,” Redknapp told reporters. “The chances of us keeping him are not great if he’s got a buy-out clause.
“He’s done well at Newcastle, and one or two other big clubs are trying to get him, so there’s every chance he will go.”
Redknapp also said he never had any doubts that Remy would prove a success in the Premier League.
“I chased him at Tottenham, and I knew he would do well,” he said. “He’s a scorer, and with the right team pushing to get in the top four, he’s capable of getting 20 goals.
“If I say he’s worth 20m pounds, and his buy-out clause is 10m pounds or whatever, then it’s difficult.”
