ROBERTO MANCINI has emerged as a shock contender to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
ARSENAL BOUND? Could Mancini return to the English game with Arsenal?
That is according to football pundit Andy Gray, who reckons the former Man City boss would be an ideal candidate should Wenger quit the Gunners.
Frenchman Wenger is yet to sign a new deal with the North London club and Italian Mancini, who led City to the Premier League title in 2012, is close to leaving Galatasary after taunts from his own fans.
Gray said: “ If Arsenal are looking for a boss from the continent, I could understand appointing Mancini.
“He’s a bit more pragmatic than Arsene.”
