Levante vs Granada CF preview - Alcaraz refuses to panic

Granada coach Lucas Alcaraz insists he will not be looking to change his tactics for Sunday's trip to Levante as they look to bounce back from their midweek defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Granada went down 2-1 at home to Atletico on Thursday and have now lost three of their four games since defeating high-flying Athletic Bilbao 2-0.

Alcaraz sees no reason to do anything drastic though, saying: "The way we want to play doesn't have to change.

"For the type of players we have and what we've done up until now, we're going to keep the plan. There are very important players who feel good playing this way."

The former Almeria coach will not be able to keep the same line-up as against Atletico due to the loss of Diego Mainz but he is determined to keep any alterations to a minimum, saying: "We will have to make some changes but not many because that would make things difficult on an organisational front."

Granada head to Levante in 14th spot in the standings on 11 points, six places and six points behind their opponents.

Alcaraz said: "Levante are a competitive team who play very compact. (But) we must focus on what we're doing.

"We have to try and ensure our game-plan is maintained against any opponent, while respecting and knowing their strong points."

Levante have lost just twice in La Liga this season - a record bettered only by two top two - and those two defeats came against Barcelona and Real Madrid.

They were held to a disappointing goalless draw by struggling Real Betis in their last game though and will be hoping to pick up a three-point haul against Granada which could lift them level with fourth-placed Villarreal.
