BARCA FORWARD MORE COMMITTED THAN EVER - Messi celebrates son's first birthday with UNICEF

Leo Messi, Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF, invites his friends and fans around the world to join the celebration of the first birthday of his son Thiago, which will take place this Saturday, 2nd November.

The Argentina star said: "In November I received the best gift in the world - The birth of Thiago. It's his first birthday, so help me to achieve that all boys and girls have the same opportunities to live, grow and develop. Thanks for participating and joining the cause".

UNICEF has created a website called 'Leo and Thiago Messi celebrate life (www.unicef.org/messithiago), which can be visited up until 4th November. The site allows viewers to join Leo in his commitment towards helping all the children in the world to grow up with the same opportunities.

Messi believes that seeing his child grow has made him even more committed to the task of guaranteeing that all children have a good diet, vaccines against diseases, drinking water and a good education.

The Barça star thinks the best thing he can offer his son is the chance to help the challenge faced by millions of children to reach their birthdays.

The objective of the campaign is to spread awareness on the importance of giving all children around the world the same opportunity to survive.
