Ayr 2 : 0 Arbroath - Kyle scores as Ayr rise to third

Former Scotland international Kevin Kyle set Ayr on their way to a 2-0 victory over Arbroath.
Arbroath midfielder Robert Linn went closest to opening the scoring early on when his left-footed strike was saved by David Hutton.
Both sides had chances to break the deadlock as the first half wore on but it was Kyle who struck the first blow on the stroke of half-time. Scott McLaughlin floated a corner in from the right and the 32-year-old frontman headed home.
Arbroath's fate was sealed when Adam Hunter took a pass from Michael Donald and finished with his left foot.
The hosts held on comfortably for their second successive win, one which lifted them up to third in League One.
