Getafe vs Celta Vigo preview - Garcia: Celtic will pose test

Getafe coach Luis Garcia has billed his side's home clash with Celta Vigo as the test of whether or not his team are making a genuine improvement.

The Madrid side won their last home game, against Osasuna, and although they were beaten 4-1 by Real Madrid at the weekend, the coach was pleased with the performance.

"The Celta game is where we have to confirm the good signs we showed in the last two games," the 40-year-old told a press conference.

Looking back on the Real Madrid match, Garcia added: "Although everyone saw that we lost 4-1, we played well and there were moments where we thought we might have been able to get something out of the match.

"Against Osasuna we won 2-1, played good football and now we need to capitalise on that and move up to seven points."

Garcia admitted that several of his players were still feeling the physical effects of the match against Madrid, and said he would use his squad on Thursday, hinting that Pablo Sarabia would come in for Angel Lafita, and that Michel would also be left out, with either Borja Fernandez or Medhi Lacen replacing him.

Pedro Mosquera, however, will keep his place, with Garcia emphasising the player's positive contribution in the last two matches.

Celta Vigo coach Luis Enrique is already concerned about Getafe's attacking threat.

"They are a well-equipped team that knows how to play good football, that's why they've been in the Primera Division for so long," said the former Barcelona midfielder.

"I'm worried about their offensive capacity, they have five or six players who with the ball at their feet can create a chance at any moment."

Luis Enrique intends to rest defender Hugo Mallo, who only returned recently from a knee injury, while forward Nolito and midfielder Augusto Fernandez remain injured and will not travel.
