Zidane: Zinedine Zidane spoke to 'Real Madrid TV' to clarify his comments on how much Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale: "Some of my comments have been misinterpreted. When a player is worth so much, it's because he's good. The same happened to me."

"Bale's signing is important for Real Madrid. He has been the best player in the Premier League for two seasons. He's going to help us a lot. Real has to have the biggest players in the world, which is thanks to its members," he remarked.

"The best player in the world is CR7, that's why he's the most expensive. Real fans are not thinking about his price, but what he can give us. We are delighted with Ronaldo. He is the leader. He has played 205 games and scored 205 goals. He's the best player in the world," he declared.

Zidane also talked about the controversial sale of Mesut Özil. "He decided to leave Real Madrid on his own account. He's a good player. He gave us a lot and we wish him luck," he said.

Finally, the Frenchman expressed his satisfaction at the summer's transfer business: "Isco is very good. Everyone who watches him knows that. Illarra is going to be an important player. He'll play more and more of a part. This mix of veterans and youngsters is working well for us and is good for the team."
